Robin Myers

Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you know my loving wife, Robin Myers. She is a wonderful mother and stepmother, has an infectious spirit and desire to help others. She loves to garden, spend time with family, friends, and her dogs. What most of you do not know is that she is battling End Stage Renal Disease.

Every day is a struggle and her future is unclear. Her health is declining and her doctors at The University of North Carolina Hospital have told us that she is now in need of a life-saving kidney transplant. She is currently on the active waiting list for this transplant and is also searching for a living donor.

Such life-giving surgery comes at a high cost both medically and financially. The operation itself and the many doctor visits before and after are only partially covered by insurance. In addition, Robin will be on a lifetime of expensive anti-rejection medications. It is hard to watch her bravely move forward knowing her quality of life – even her very survival – is a financial decision as much as a medical one.

In order to ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Robin’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
