Hi My name is Russell Pruitt,

On February 15, 2022 It was determined that I had a flesh-eating bacteria in my right leg. Unfortunately, It needed to be amputated. I found out that same day, that I had end stage renal failure.
In my early thirties, I was diagnosed with type II diabetes, bladder and kidney cancer. The combination of the two left my immune system compromised. I need dialysis and can’t walk. I had to retire, until I am healthy and strong enough to work again. I am not fifty years old yet. I have so much more to offer. Over the past two years, I have been left alone with my thoughts that have made me very productive. My family and I have come up with some very good ideas on using my time productively. Getting a kidney is the first step in this process. By getting a new kidney, I can stop going to dialysis three times a week, giving me the time and strength. I have always been a hard worker, sometimes to a fault, and that has been the case in my own healthy recovery. I was a chef for 25 years. One of my ideas is creating a cookbook for people in my situation and people going through dialysis. I have been researching. Please consider me in your thoughts.
