Sarah Dunn

Sarah is a 63 year old beloved mother and granny. She has always been known for her vibrant and independent spirit. In 2022, she was diagnosed with a fibroid lung disease that has slowed her down quite a bit. Sarah has always had a resilient spirit and continues to live life to the fullest. Unfortunately, this disease is progressive and without a lung transplant is terminal. Fortunately, she has recently passed transplant screening with flying colors! She is now on the list for a new pair of lungs.

Sarah’s mom used to say that she “should have been born with wheels on her” because this woman likes to go! She has always loved traveling, riding horses and working outside. She values experiences and treasures sharing them with her children and grandchildren. This procedure can give her several more healthy years to do these things she holds dear.

We are all so grateful for the opportunity for Sarah to have this lifesaving surgery, but it will come with challenges. Lung transplants are the most difficult type of transplant surgery. Sarah will need round the clock care and daily medical appointments for approximately a year following her procedure and an extended hospital stay.

Sarah is lucky to have a loving network of friends and family prepared to help her get through these challenges. We are reaching out to ask for any assistance you can give us covering related expenses so that she can just focus on getting healthy!
