Help Scott Get His New Kidney!

Scott Tucker, the son of Craig and Kristie Tucker of Doerun, Georgia, is scheduled to receive a kidney transplant on June 23, 2017, and needs the help of his community to make it happen. Transplants are lifesaving but very expensive.

In September 2015, Scott was surprisingly diagnosed with Stage 5 End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Because of the severity of the kidney failure, Scott had to begin dialysis in December 2015 and is now completely dependent on peritoneal dialysis, which he undergoes at home every single night. His only chance to return to good health is a kidney transplant.

Fortunately, a family member has come forward as a donor and will be donating their kidney to Scott. But, funding this life saving procedure is a monumental task, as there will be many medical expenses not covered by insurance: medical bills, medications, travel expenses to Atlanta and more, will add up to be more than the Tucker family can handle alone.

To help with the financial burden of uninsured expenses, a fundraising camping has been established in honor of Scott Tucker with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that been providing community-based fundraising guidance to help patients and families in need for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law and are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Kidney Transplant Fund in honor of Scott Tucker.
