Help Sean “Braxton” Martin Get His New Kidney!

Sean “Braxton” Martin, son of Barbara Martin of Dallas, TX and Tommy Martin (deceased) of Ruidoso, NM. is in need of a kidney transplant and needs the help of his community to make it happen. Transplants are lifesaving but very expensive.

Three years ago, 29 year old Braxton was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy (IGAN), a debilitating disease that attacked his kidneys. He is no longer able to work, nor participate in the activities that he truly loved, such as hiking, rock climbing, boating, yoga, and running. He was rushed to the emergency room in Austin, TX to discover his kidneys were shutting down due to an undiagnosed kidney disease, IGAN.

Braxton is completely dependent on dialysis, which he undergoes at home four hours a day, seven days a week. His only chance to return to good health is a kidney transplant.

Braxton’s family and friends will start being tested in hopes of finding a kidney donor match. But, funding this lifesaving procedure is a monumental task, as there will be many medical expenses not covered by insurance: co-pays, anti-rejection medications, Braxton’s possible donor’s travel expenses across the country and more. These are adding up to more than the Martin family can handle alone.
