Someone wise (my mother) once told me that if I didn’t get my story out or present my situation for family and friends to understand, I won’t get any emotional or financial support that is desperately needed when you are faced with a chronic, potentially life threatening disease. I felt like it was a lot on my part, but as I began to listen and put my pride aside, I realized that there is no harm in communicating what I need as those who are close to me have been asking for the past year and a half.

I have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses and upcoming procedures associated with kidney transplant and the financial burdens my family and I are faced with after I find a new Kidney. A kidney transplant is expensive and as soon as the transplant is successful, I will no longer have any secondary insurance. Many of my expenses will include many anti-rejection medications, co-insurance deductibles and other related recovery expenses for my donor and I which are not covered by my insurance policy and all are considered to be out of pocket expenses.

As you can see, I will need help getting much in order when it comes to my medical and health bills. In the meantime, I am asking for anyone who can find it in his or her heart and is willing, to contribute any dollar amount to support me through this process, I would be forever grateful.
