I am living with progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I use a power chair full time. Due to prolonged equipment barriers, my ability to function daily has been significantly affected. I am fundraising for a properly fitted power wheelchair, including clinical evaluation and travel required to access appropriate seating specialists, as well as a side entry wheelchair accessible van with hand controls. The right mobility equipment will reduce preventable pain, protect my body from further injury caused by improper seating and allow me to independently access medical care while participating more fully daily, in community life.

I will be able to sit long enough to paint again. I will be able to visit my adult children, meet a friend for coffee without pain from improper seating dominating the experience and take my dog to the park to sit in the sun without the chair compounding existing neurological pain.These may seem like ordinary freedoms, but without an accessible vehicle and mobility equipment that truly fits and functions, they remain out of reach.

Living with MS requires constant adaptation; the right equipment creates meaningful freedom within existing limitations.

In addition to mobility equipment, I am also seeking support for essential home modifications. Areas like the kitchen and bathroom and general layout are not set up for safe use.Improvements would reduce preventable pain and risk; conserve, limited energy and make it possible to function more safely and independently at home.
