My husband Silvino Salas, Father of seven children, two are disabled with health issues and 9 grandchildren. He had to be med flight from St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas to Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute Hospital for Heart Failure, AFIB, cardiovascular and abnormal heart rhythms. He has a defibrillator implanted on 2012. The doctor said he only had at least 10 years so they replaced it throughout the years and on 03/2022 after that procedure he had an attack lead him to St. Joseph emergency room on 03/14/22 . They shock him 4x and did emergency IV dips of medication to stabilize him.
Update : on May 11,2023 Silvino and myself went to his doctors appointment it was a follow up from getting released from the hospital. He has been in and out the hospital for months. We found out his right side of his heart has gotten worse since the first time in came in to Hermann hospital. His lungs and liver are failing also he needs a heart, lung /both and a liver transplant. We know no insurance will pay for three organs and no doctors, hospitals will do that. So his doctor is going to try to refer him to Houston Methodist Hospital and see if they will except him and so on. Well, that’s are update now.

His heart is very weak it’s only pump at least a centimeter movement, he had at least 5 procedures and still on going, it takes steps, he’s still having problems, they implanted a temporary pump to make his heart beat and get stronger. He still has more procedures to complete for a heart transplant. The process of getting a IVAD open heart surgery on 04/06/22 and Heart Transplant Candidate on the list. He will have some medical bills, medications and services that will have to pay out of pocket the insurance will not pay.

Living here in Houston is very expensive with parking tickets fees, food and hotels. We still have at least 5 weeks maximum no telling. Can you all please find it in your heart to donate. We appreciate y’all’s kindness and passionate of donating .
