Let’s Help Spencer Get Back on the Road!

Spencer is 31 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This causes muscles to weaken over time and has left him wheelchair bound. When he was 16, he was able to drive and did so until the age of 19. Since then, due to his disability, he has been without the freedom and independence that driving brings. Now 12 years later, he has learned how to drive with high-tech adaptive controls! He now needs assistance obtaining accessible modifications on his vehicle to be able to drive. In all, it is likely to cost him about $100,000. A dream of his is to start a non-profit to create community and advocate for change for all people with disabilities. Having a vehicle that he can drive, will help him towards this goal by removing barriers to meet with people who want to support his non-profit getting off the ground, and allow it to run more effectively once it does.
