Stasy Puff

Family and friends of Stasy Puff are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Stasy has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Stasy’s story is truly inspiring—she’s a resilient mother, grandmother, and passionate container gardener from Grand Haven, Michigan, who’s been battling advanced heart failure since complications from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma treatment in 2005. Surviving cardiogenic shock in 2019 (with odds stacked against her), getting an LVAD as a bridge to transplant, overcoming high antibodies and a tonsil cancer diagnosis, and now being relisted at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (one of the world’s top heart transplant programs) shows incredible determination.

Her joys—being “Eema” to little Henry, “Grammy” to her bonus grandkids and others, tending to her container gardens full of flowers, veggies, herbs, and tea plants, baking sourdough, and dreaming of kayaking again on Lake Michigan or hiking local trails—are all on hold until she gets that life-changing heart. Post-transplant, she’s excited for more energy, freedom from the LVAD’s batteries and “go bag,” teaching Henry to kayak, traveling to Italy’s Catholic sites, and exploring with her family and friends.

To help cover relocation to Nashville (rent near the hospital, medical copays/deductibles, support for her sister Tammie as caregiver, and unexpected costs).
