Stephanie Cox

In 1988 Stephanie was diagnosed with Hep C. There was no treatment or medication to treat her and was still being tested.
In 2002, Her doctor at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia treated he with Harvoni and she was cured from Hep C in 8 weeks; however she was untreated for the 14 years prior resulting in irreversible liver damage.
Stephanie underwent upper endoscopies monthly for years to band her esophagus and heal the 10 of 12 veracies.
In 2017, she underwent upper endoscopy at Northwestern in Chicago and Stephanie was over banded and as a result aspirated and almost died. She could not swallow for over a month.
Fortunately, the banding healed the last 2 veracies.
In December 2019 Stephanie was diagnosed with Liver Cancer. Stephanie underwent over 40 rounds of radiation treatments. She was told that the cancer had spread to her kidney also.
Stephanie had several radioembolizations and transcatheter chemoembolization’s in hopes of killing the cancer and stopping the growth of the tumors. By May 2022 Stephanie developed pneumonia in the hospital and as a result had a leaky heart valve and a heart flutter.
Doctors decided to temporarily remove her from the National Transplant list due to the heart flutter and aortic regurgitation.
In May of 2022 She had aortic heart valve replacement.
By September 2022 Stephanie had a transesophageal echocardiogram and a cardioversion to try to shock her heart back into a normal rhythm.
She continues to have MRI’s monthly and numerous hospitalizations (almost bi-weekly), and falls as a result of being so weak. She has end stage liver disease and is deteriorating quickly and is desperate need of a partial liver.
