Stephen Havener

Family and friends of Steve Havener are raising money for uninsured medical expenses associated with an LVAD. Steve has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Our dad is a man who truly lives for what matters most: God, family, and faith. He loves the Lord with all his heart and has spent more than 40 years faithfully answering God’s call to preach. His life’s work has been sharing the hope of Jesus with others and living out what he preaches every day.

He loves his wife deeply and has built a strong, loving home for his four children, their spouses, his twelve grandchildren, and his two great-grandchildren. Family means everything to him, and he never misses an opportunity to remind them how much he loves them.

Since the age of 25, he has battled heart problems — a struggle that runs deep on his father’s side of the family. Many of his relatives passed away young, but he has faced his own challenges with courage and faith. Over the years, his heart failure has worsened, and the next step may be a heart pump to help him keep going.

Even through physical weakness, his spirit remains strong. He knows that when his time on earth is done, he will be with Jesus — and that brings him peace. But his prayer is for just a little more time here: to preach a few more sermons, to make a few more memories, and to spend a little more time with the family he cherishes so much. Phil. 1:3
