Steven Bastian

In 2007, Steve Bastian was diagnosed with a liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Over the past year, his disease has progressed rapidly and the only cure is to receive a new liver through a transplant.

When the transplant happens, he will need to spend 4-6 weeks living in Utah so he is able to stay close to his doctors. His wife, Erin, will spend as much time as possible with him, but she will also travel back and forth between Utah and Idaho to be with their 3 kids, Raegan, Brock and Bryn.

A liver transplant will give Steve the quality of life that he desires. His doctors are confident that a transplant will be successful and he can be cured and fully recovered within a year. We are praying that the transplant can happen before he becomes too sick. The stronger he is before surgery, the stronger he will be for recovery.

Family and friends of Steve are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with his liver transplant. This is including, but not limited to, travel expenses, additional living expenses for Utah housing, medications, and other uninsured medical expenses relating to the transplant.
