Hello Family and Friends. As some of you know while others don’t I am currently in the process of going to Duke University Hospital, in Durham NC for a lung transplant. Right now I am in the process of having to do things to prepare myself for the transplant. I have to gain weight as well do a Pulmonary Rehab to build up my strength, which will help with the transplant as well hoping to prevent rejection. As I get to the goals that has been set up for me to be listed for lung(s), I will have to relocate to Durham NC. I have to be within 30 minutes of hospital. I will also have to be living in the area 3-6 months or possible up to a year after transplant. My insurance will not pay for any relocation or fees for rent, going to appointments and Pulmonary Rehab, etc. This is why I am asking you to please donate to my cause. I also will have to have a primary and secondary care giver with me. One or the other will have to be with me at all times. This diease is not only affecting myself but my family as well. I have high hopes of after the transplant that I will be able to do the things that has meant so much to me prior to COPD/EMPHYSEMA.
I have been told that this is what the estimate amount that will be needed for me and my caregivers for 6 months. So any amount will be greatly appreciated,
