Suzanne Solomon

Hi, my name is Mark Solomon, I am writing on the behalf of my wife Suzanne to ask for your help. Twelve years ago, while recovering from Kidney-Pancreas transplant surgery, Suzanne began to lose her legs. Over the next 18 months, Suzanne had eleven surgeries and six hospital stays that left her a double amputee. After she healed, she saw her first prosthetist, through Kaiser Permanente Over the next two years the prosthetics she received caused her pain, blisters, and sores that made it impossible for her to walk in them. After fighting with Kaiser to get a new prosthetist, she was finally sent to Hanger Clinic, with the same results. 

Finally, in 2020, Suzanne resigned herself to the idea that she would spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair until we met a mother whose son was born without part of his leg. She referred us to St Crispin Orthopedic in Orange County. She spoke very highly of them, as her son had been their client for the last fourteen years. And yes, they were vendors with Kaiser. There, Suzanne had prostheses made that fit properly. Now, one year later, Suzanne is walking confidently with a walker, and with no pain whatsoever. Now her stumps have changed and she needs new prostheses. Turns out, Kaiser canceled St. Crispin’s contract, leaving us 100% responsible for the cost. After repeated conversations, Kaiser’s only option is for Suzanne to go back to the original places she started with, and of course, this is not an option. This is why I am asking for your help.
