My name is Tammey Glenn. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Having this disability comes with many challenges and daily struggles. Such as having to rely on and use a wheelchair to navigate life and life challenges. One of my necessities needed in my life is a fully equipped handicapped accessible van. Getting around to get things done can be challenging when having to be a passenger in someone else’s vehicle. For example, I have to be taken out of my custom made power wheelchair. Therefore, which is made to for feel my physical and medical condition. However, my power wheelchair will not fit in a truck and is extremely heavy. As a result, it cannot not be transported in a car or standard vehicle. It has always been my dream or desire to purchase my own handicapped accessible van. In order to maneuver and travel on my own. Having my own handicapped accessible van will eliminate me having to wait on Marta for long periods of time. Because, they are late majority of the times. Also, riding Marta is not safe at times. Furthermore, Marta is a shared ride company. Therefore, at times it can take hours to get to your desired destination or home. Having this vehicle Will help me get to doctor appointments, grocery shopping and other places more time efficiently. Having this vehicle also, allow me to be more independent and self sufficient. Also, I have other medical circumstances which require medical attention. Furthermore, having a handicapped vehicle will allow me to get there on time and independently. Lastly, recently lost my husband after being married for five years. One of his dreams was for me to be abled to purchase my own handicapped ,accessible van one day. Will you be so kind to help me reach my goal of raising $300,000 to accomplish this dream come true please and thank you in advance.
