To Whom it may concern:

As I sat and thought about my journey the above quote really sums it all up in one little statement. Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Tammy Brown, I am 56 years old. I have always been one to take care of my own basic needs and wants, working sometimes two jobs. This all came to an immediate halt over the past year. On July 19, 2023, I was diagnosed with Kidney Failure Renal Disease, at this time I was told I had to immediately start Dialysis. As I laid there three times a week I prayed and asked God to help me, “HIS CHILD”. I knew this new norm in my life wasn’t what I wanted. I need a kidney transplant to survive.

My village and I began a movement which included prayer, fundraising, and research to get me on every transplant list we could think of. On June 4, 202, the hard work paid off I received a new kidney. I felt this was God giving me a 2nd chance of being me, my transplant was complete. Chronic health conditions wear on the total you. Physically my condition has caused weakness and fatigue, mentally my condition has caused me to sometimes get depressed, and financially my condition is draining my resources. I have been going back and forth to the transplant appointments. Although appointments, travel, medications, etc. is very expensive health insurance have been covering most of it. On July 1, 2024, my health insurance was cancelled. I am now disabled, I can’t work the two jobs like I did in the past, leaving me unable to afford my prescriptions, doctors care visits, and basic medical needs.

Donations of any kind can help ease the financial burden I am facing for my basic medical needs and will be greatly appreciated. This will help me focus on my recovery journey, emotionally but also physically and spirtually.
