Hello! My name is Tara Herman and I am fundraising to unlock my own independence and build a bridge for others. Living with cerebral palsy has taught me exactly what it takes to navigate a world that isn’t always built for accessibility. Despite the hurdles, I am deeply committed to working, volunteering, and staying active. But I also have a bigger dream: I hope to open my own transportation business dedicated to helping the disabled community get reliable transit outside of limited public transportation.

The Current Hurdle: I Need Wheels to Build This Future

To achieve my goals, maintain my health, and eventually launch this business, I first need reliable, accessible transportation of my own. Right now, getting to crucial doctor appointments, get a job, volunteer shifts, and daily activities is an uphill battle. A specialized wheelchair van is the vital tool I need to manage my everyday life and gain the mobility required to get my business venture off the ground.
