If you know me: I know. I’m tired, too. I’m sure you’re sick of me talking about all these health things….Let’s just get it out of the way: I need another big-ass surgery. I have Moyamoya Syndrome (a progressive cerebrovascular disorder caused by blocked or narrowed arteries at the base of the brain) that can cause strokes and TIAs OR IIH shrug; there is no cure for both of these things– however, there are surgical procedures that can reduce the risk of strokes and TIAs. Basically, the garden hoses in my brain/head is kinked and I need it unkinked on both sides. I won’t be able to do anything for a minimum of one (1) month. I’ll prob (temp.) lose my ability to speak, Hopefully not. I’d be pretty pissed, lol.

If you’re new here: Thanks for checking my page out. I’ll spare you the 38 year-long story and in good ol’ Reddit style do a TL;DR which is: I had Type 1 Diabetes since 3/4 years old, succumbed to renal failure in 2019, dialyzed for 4.5 years, and finally received a life-saving Pancreas-Kidney transplant in 2023 at Mayo Clinic, AZ. I really thought I had some reprieve, but I keep getting side quests from the Game Master, with the recent one being Moyamoya disease (see above for the details).

I work full-time, but medical crap is expensive. The dual organ transplant I needed in 2023 cost over $500,000 (not out of pocket, but we def had co-pays, non-covered services, etc.). It is especially financially taxing when these medical issues are sequential, like my situation (yay…!)

So, anything monetary is SUPER helpful. And I’m a words gal, so a message is always nice, too 🙂
