Thomas Hughes

Dear Family & Friends,
Many of you know a man very special to us, Thomas Hughes. He is the loving husband of Kathy, wonderful father to Brenda, Tami, Robert, Ashley, Ariel, and grandfather of four.
For the past 20 years, Thomas has been suffering from a kidney disease. Since August, Thomas has been unable to work and is currently on disability. He is about to begin dialysis 3 days every week. In addition, his doctors at Loma Linda University Medical Center have told us that he is now in need of a life-saving kidney transplant. We are in the process of looking for a living donor.
Funding this surgery is a monumental task. There are many expenses that are not covered by insurance and must be paid out of pocket. Some of these expenses are co-pays, deductibles, and Thomas will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications.
In order ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Thomas’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southwest Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
