OUR DAD/GRANDAD NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Our Dad, Tim has been fighting liver disease since 2011 and it is coming to the end of its course. He was told that he was not a transplant candidate due to med interactions, so there was little hope for him. For years he chose to endure taking the meds to force his body to stabilize. He doesn’t give up. It has been hard, but he has adjusted and is now on the that blessed list! PTL! He has paid huge insurance premiums that would cover the surgery, but it has drained all financial resources. Now we need funds to cover the donor’s travel and lodging and his travel expenses and long expected recovery. We are asking friends and family to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to meet the critical expenses we are about to face.

Dad has always lived a full life. He lives and loves big! He has never met a stranger and is generous to a fault. If there is a need, he tries to help. This illness has taken that away from him. He has 5 kids and 12 grandchildren. He wants to see them grow, he wants to be at their graduations, weddings and births. He is a devoted husband and loves our mother more than anything on earth. Together they have given us life and have been our rock and together is how we want them to stay. With your help we can make that happen.

We have the insurance, we have the support system, we have a prospective living donor willing to give him life, but we need your help making that happen. The anti-rejection meds, the weekly travel to the transplant hospital, the cost for our mom to stay with him full time are huge. The expenses for initial evaluation of our donor, as well as for her family to be with her from across the country at the time of transplant also need to be met. If she is approved, she will have to remain here in Ohio for 5 to 6 weeks from the time of transplant. New concerns just keep coming up. It is overwhelming.
