Tony Resendez

Friends and Family,

Many of you know Tony Resendez. He is the loving husband of Linda, father to Dolores (23), Tony (22), Priscilla (19), Dominique (13) and Jacob (8), has 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way. In the past, Tony has worked as a glazier and is a mechanic. For the past 3 years Tony has not been able to work due to very poor health.

Six years ago, Tony was diagnosed with Cirrhosis and Hepatitis C. His health has declined to the point that his doctors at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston have told us that his only option is a life-saving liver transplant. A liver transplant is now his only chance of survival. However, even with insurance funding this surgery is a monumental task. There are many expenses that must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are deductibles, co-pays, travel and relocation to Houston at time of transplant and Tony will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is desperately needed.

In order to ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Tony’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Central Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
