Hi, my name is Troy and I am fundraising to get a heart transplant.

I suffer from heart failure which is a hereditary trait in my family. In 2015 I was diagnosed as a stage 4 heart failure by Stanford Hospital (Palo Alto, CA) and was implanted with a heart pump.

It has been 7 years since, and I have started to have additional complications such as infections to the heart pump drive line, a temporary stroke, and continued deterioration to both sides of my heart. Because of all the complications, the Cardiologists at Stanford say that I urgently need a heart transplant.

To get a heart transplant I need to hire a caregiver 24/7 for 3 to 6 months while I recover from the surgery. These funds will help fulfill this requirement so that Stanford can put me on the transplant list.

I have a fur baby called Linus, a shepherd mix, and he is like a son to me. I have never known anyone, dog or human, with so much love in his heart. Linus loves everyone.

I am the only one he has and if something happens to me I am afraid he will end up being put down at the pound. I want a transplant so that I can continue to take care of Linus for the rest of his life.
