Please consider the “Gift of Life!”

My husband, Tyrone, desperately needs your help. Tyrone suffers from Pulmonary Fibrosis which is a lung disease. In December 2020, Tyrone contracted Covid-19 which severely damaged both of his lungs. On November 9, 2021, Tyrone had a serious change in his health condition and was hospitalized. His health is at a critical point and he will remain hospitalized until he has a Lung Transplant. Tyrone needs a “Double Lung Transplant” to survive.

Tyrone is a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He has always been a kind, fun-loving and happy person who would help anyone in need. He has a positive and productive lifestyle and serves in Ministry as a Deacon. Also, Tyrone has served in the Community as a League Football and Basketball Coach. There have been times when he served as a father-figure to so many young guys without a father. Tyrone and I have been married for 33 years and my desire is to spend another 50+ years with him. We have two sons, one daughter and 2 grandchildren and he is known as “Pop-Pop”

Tyrone has had major challenges with his lungs this year. In the past 4 months, we have travelled approximately an hour away from home, 3-4 times per week for his pulmonary and pre-transplant doctor’s appointments. There are only a few hospitals in our area that specializes in this type of transplant surgery. I accompany Tyrone on every doctor’s appointment because he is not able to walk distances without a wheelchair.

The “Double Lung Transplant” surgery pre and post is extremely expensive. We are asking our family, friends and the community to join us in this fundraising effort to help Tyrone get new lungs by having a successful “Double Lung Transplant.” The cost of a “Double Lung Transplant” is $1.3 million dollars. Tyrone’s insurance will cover 80%. We have to pay 20% of the cost of the Transplant which is $260,000.
