Walter Needs Your Help

Walter Langdon is a 72-year-old man who has been blessed with an active and healthy life until three years ago. He is now in the last stages of renal failure and is in need of a kidney transplant.

Walter grew up on a farm near Four Oaks, NC where he graduated from high school with superlatives in music and athletics. He has earned three degrees from East Carolina University and a doctorate in Education Organization from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Over the years, Walter has served the NC public school system as a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent. He has also worked as an ad Hoc professor at UNCW and ECU schools of education. Since retirement, Walter has worked as a consultant in his wife’s business, Jordan Driving School.

Walter, a very proud individual, is not looking for sympathy or for a handout.

What he hopes to achieve through his illness is to make communities aware of the many individuals among them who could again enjoy the pleasures of life that sometimes are taken for granted.

Organ transplants are very expensive and are usually beyond the financial means of most families. Please help in passing the word that many people are in need and any help will not go unappreciated
