Wanda Needs Our Help!

Wanda is a 55-year-old woman who is very sick and needs our help! After a lifetime of dealing with immotile cilia syndrome and bronchiectasis, doctors have determined that a double lung transplant is her only hope of survival. Wanda is a wife, mother, and grandmother who is the most kind-hearted and caring person you could ever meet. She is always doing whatever she can for others and now it is our turn to help. The cost of the transplant is very expensive and can be quite overwhelming.

Wanda was born and raised in Jenison, MI and graduated from Unity Christian High School. She then continued on to Davenport University where she earned a degree in Computer Programming and Accounting. Wanda met her husband along the way and they married and adopted four children. She had the wonderful opportunity to work from home for Spartan Stores. After 32 faithful years of service she was forced into retirement while she has hospitalized for complications with her lungs. The support of her family and friends helped her through that difficult time, and we are counting on them (and you!) helping her through her transplant as well.

Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance Wanda is facing very high expenses including family caregiver travel expenses, hospital co-pays, post-transplant medications that can be as high as $4000 a month, lab fees, and much more!
