Help Get Wayne back to therapy and walk again!

On 6/6/2019 Wayne was going to the kitchen to get a cup of tea, as Wayne walked, he tripped and fell and the worst happened. Wayne suffered Spinal Cord Injury at neck and was instantly paralyzed from neck down.
Wayne’s diagnosis is high cervical tetraplegia (quadriplegia) incomplete.

Wayne survived a long and complicated surgery at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, where we were told that he would die during surgery.
Wayne survived and is fighting to get back his motor functions and there is progress each day.
Wayne continues to exercise at home and already have regained some motor functions in his arms and hands; though the right hand being more paralyzed takes more time.
Wayne can move his legs though, can’t walk yet and his goal is to stand up and transfer himself from bed to chair on his own.
All this is possible with professionals in physical therapy and professional equipment but, we don’t have reliable transportation at this time as our accessible van is constantly breaking.

Wayne desperately needs transportation that I as Wayne’s caregiver will drive him to local physical therapy center in next town and doctor appointments.
Wayne is using 430lb Permobile power wheelchair that measures 56” from floor to top of his head so, we need high top vehicle.

Family and friends of Wayne Levin are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund purchase of used raised roof accessible van with hydraulic lift and uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Injury.
