My name is Wendy and I am currently awaiting a liver transplant. In 2015, I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. As you can imagine, the costs associated with transplantation are overwhelming.

I grew up and graduated in Marlow, Oklahoma. I am the proud mother of two amazing children. Shayna, 15, is a sophomore at Marlow High School. Keeton, 23, will graduate from Cameron University in May. I was employed at Banc First for 13 years, before going to work for Stephens County Rural Water for 8 years. I look forward to returning to work once I receive my transplant.

Transplants are life saving but financially draining. Even with insurance, the co-pays and premiums are terribly expensive. The post-transplant medications alone are $3,600.00 per month. This presents a challenge that my family and I cannot meet alone.
