Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am fighting to win this battle but I need your help. My accident in June 2012 left me with a C-4 spinal cord injury and I remain paralyzed from the neck down. Although I have some movement and sensation in my arms, I will require more extensive rehabilitation to gain my life back. My greatest pray and hope is to continue my role as a mom to my two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Nicole.
I see in them the dreams and hopes for a much brighter future.

I am truly overwhelmed by the love and support I have received thus far. I thank all of you for your prayers, cards and words of encouragement. I realize that I am not alone in this fight and I will continue to need your support as I make my way to recovery.

Friends, family, and supporters I am asking for your financial assistance so that I can make the necessary strides to gain mobility in my body and in my life. Currently, I am on paid leave, but this money helps with daily living expenses only. My health insurance does not cover several much needed costs such as, home healthcare, rehabilitation, specialized equipment, or accessible transportation.

To help with the costs of uninsured injury-related expenses and recovery-based therapies, a fundraising campaign has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. In 2000, they expanded their mission to include those who have sustained a catastrophic injury. All contributions are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the New York Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only.
