Windy Wesenick

Family and friends of Windy Wesenick are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with her life impacting medical illnesses. Windy has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses. Funds go directly to Physician/Treating Clinic via Help Hope Live. The amount she chose is much lower than what will be actually needed: especially for the long-term and as treatment unfolds beyond testing. Windy has Toxicant Induced Loss of Tolerance from past chemical exposures which makes her neurologically react to very low level chemicals, fragrance, etc. Under this umbrella, she has been at Mayo Clinic Rochester for a week in the past for her neuropathic POTS syndrome. The impacts along with TILT include neuropathic POTS, neuropathic OH. Rare Hemi-plegic migraine (triggered by Fragrance chemicals, etc), MCAS, Autoimmune thyroiditis, fibromyalgia, many allergies, delayed pressure uticaria, and the associated symptoms from above mentioned: as well as very high mercury poisoning tested levels, and high lead levels, along with Lyme treatment which she could not handle, as she got superbug C. Diff. by 3rd day of treatment. Windy is currently homeless for months now, as has happened in the past, due to T.I.L.T and changes that can happen in prior safe housing. Along with changes in past safe housing, it is very difficult for people with severe T.I.L.T to find safe housing due to the use of carpet cleaning, the host of Fragrance chemical products that can render a home uninhabitable or not able to remediate hard to remove fragrance chemical bonds, shared air vents, heating sources and a host of other factors. She is forced to leave her home state due to the cold temperatures as winter approaches. Unlike other homeless situations, the homeless people with T.I.L.T. cannot go into a shelter, a hotel, wash their clothes at a laundromat, etc. She is on SSI disability at about $12,000 per year and has a section 8 voucher, but many apartments will still not rent without 2 1/2 to 3 times the rent. Her small income has been very taxed with this situation and she will be unable to move forward with her clinic due to unrelated expenses as well and needs help to have health improvements and much needed medical testing and treatments for her multi layered health situations. Her illnesses have had such an affect in her life especially with losing housing and the homelessness that follows: although her health has taken an as expected hard blow from her last apartment exposure and the current impact of homelessness, she looks forward to the encouragement of being able to complete testing/follow-up visits and the hope for health improvements to follow.
