My best friend is in need of your help!

So those of you who know Yolanda (Yolie) know that she has been battling Pulmonary Fibrosis for the past 2 years. This has been a very frustrating and hard road for Yolie, but she is a fighter. Always has been and that’s why we are now asking for help from our friends and family.

She has been placed on the waiting list to receive a double lung transplant. The wait can be up to two years or longer or it can happen in two weeks. We just don’t know. What we do know is that this is necessary now since she is “what they consider” healthy enough for the surgery. That’s why we are asking for everyone’s help.

We will be fundraising the non-profit organization Help Hope Live to help with the critical expenses that Yolie will face immediately after surgery. This can include temporary relocation for recovery (3-4 months), anti-rejection medication and co-pays. She has to raise the money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation and there are quite a few cost.

Donations to Help Hope Live in Yolie’s honor, will help ease the financial burden of the transplant and allow her to focus on a staying healthy and looking forward to healthy recovery.
