A Loving Mother of 3, Yoshiko has always loved to engage with her community. Now, she needs to lean on her community for help.

In December 2020, Yoshiko was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney failure, and she currently attends dialysis three times a week. A recent stroke survivor, Yoshiko has actively been working on her stroke recovery, and is still working to improve her health. Unfortunately, during her recovery she was told her kidney function was low, and decreasing rapidly and she would soon have to start dialysis.

She immediately started her dialysis and has been doing so well in maintaining her health that she’s being considered for a kidney transplant! Her medical team has been incredible in working with her and her family and they have continuously worked to help her live her best life possible.

While she is grateful for the treatment, Yoshiko wants to be able to become more engaged in her community again and travel more; especially since her youngest son Haruka, now lives in LA. She would love to visit him without having to worry about her treatment.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help off-set some of the cost of a kidney transplant as well as the drugs and care she will require immediately after her procedure and the therapy she will utilize for the rest of her life.
