Our beloved family member and friend needs our help!

Zach’s journey with Sarcoidosis has reached a critical point. The disease has caused scarring on his lungs which makes it difficult for him to breath. As most of you know, Zach has been carrying oxygen tanks around for the past year and a half to assist with his breathing. He continues to fight to maintain a somewhat normal day-to-day routine. However, the disease has reached a point to where he will need a lung transplant in the near future.

We are asking our family and friends to join us in fundraising. “Help Hope Live”, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising organization for help with uninsured medical expenses. This organization will help with the critical expenses Zach will face immediately after surgery. Even though Zach has health insurance, many transplant expenses are surprisingly not covered such as the monthly anti-rejection medications he will need, the cost of meals and lodging near the transplant center (where he will be required to reside for 3-months following his discharge from the hospital), travel expenses for follow-up visits, various living expenses while recovering, etc.

Zach has always lived a productive and active lifestyle despite his illness. He has not let his health challenges get in the way of doing some of the things he loves most such as working with children to be the best they can be in football, school and life in general. He has spent countless hours volunteering his time by mentoring, coaching, and counseling many of our children in the community through their first days of youth football through their teenage years and beyond in various football related activities and events.

Your donations to Help Hope Live (in honor of Zach) can help ease the financial burden of the transplant and allow him to get rid of the oxygen tanks and focus on a healthy recovery and long life ahead with his family and friends.
