Jax is a 35‑year‑old social worker whose life has been defined by compassion. She has spent years pouring her heart into serving others, offering support, dignity, and hope to people in their hardest moments. Now, she is facing a season of profound challenge herself.

Over the past few months, Jax has endured job loss, two sudden moves driven by medical needs, and the daily realities of living with Multiple Sclerosis. MS has made it increasingly difficult for her to work, maintain stability, and meet her basic needs. Even so, she continues to face each day with courage, humor, and a deep belief that she can rebuild a sustainable life through perseverance and faith.

Jax finds joy in the small, beautiful things: creating art, tending to her plants, exploring nature, and spending time with her beloved cat, Amira. Her quirky spirit and unique way of seeing the world shine through everything she does. She is currently growing her apothecary, working on a beaded mosaic for her church, and doing her best to keep her plants thriving through unpredictable weather. Recently baptized, she is devoted to strengthening her relationship with God and grounding herself in her faith.

Since the onset of COVID, Jax has struggled with housing, medical, food, and employment insecurity. The stress of these years took a toll on her cognitive functioning, leaving lasting gaps she is still working to repair. Though she is no longer bedbound, she continues to navigate the long road of recovery while trying to maintain employment at a nonprofit—something that often conflicts with the demands of her health.

Right now, Jax is focusing on physical therapy, IV infusions, and meeting urgent needs while she is in transition. She lost access to insurance and was denied Medicaid due to a missed interview she was never contacted for. Her anticipated medical and emergency costs include physical therapy, IV treatments , co-pays, medical equipment and more.

Jax dreams of a future where her health is strong enough to allow her to live independently, serve God through ministry, and use her art to share her story with the world. She hopes one day to create large‑scale sculptures and build a sustainable life rooted in creativity, service, and faith.
