Brent Pulis

Family and friends of Brent Pulis are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a kidney transplant. Brent has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Brent Pulis 32 years of age has been battling chronic kidney disease for 10 years now. It progressed to end stage renal failure in July of 2025, he was immediately put on dialysis in August of 2025. Brent’s life has changed in ways we never expected. What started as doctor visits and lab work for monitoring became hospital stays, exhausting treatments, and difficult conversations about the future. There have been a lot of days filled with fear, uncertainty, and physical pain — many days when the weight of this journey felt overwhelming.

Kidney disease doesn’t just affect kidneys. It drains his energy, puts extreme pain and fatigue on his body & makes things that once were so easy for him to do pretty well impossible now. It limits his freedom. It steals moments that should be carefree. The fatigue is constant. The appointments are endless. And yet, through it all, he continues to fight with quiet strength and incredible grace.

He is a devoted husband, a loving father, and the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone. He used to spend all day and half the night outdoor working, hanging with buddies, spending time with his kids, attending chicken & junk sales, rodeos, hunting, fishing, etc Seeing him struggle while still trying to protect and provide for his family has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. I have never met someone that can be so exhausted and still get up each morning and try to push through the day.

Now we are praying for a kidney transplant —a second chance at life for someone who lives his life to the fullest each day and more time with his four young children. A chance for him to feel strong again. A chance to wake up without the heaviness and hurt of kidney failure hanging over him. A second chance to simply live.
