Jo, formerly a school district registered  nurse, a loving wife and mother of 4 sons  and 15 grandchildren.  She loves God.  She loves life.  She loves her family and friends.  She is just not ready to say “Goodbye.”

     Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (a progressive and terminal lung disease) has walked along side her, quietly without much ado, for 9 years – but in 2025 suddenly decided to take her on a downhill journey.  Now she is facing the “terminal” part of this awful disease; but there is hope!   A lung transplant could give time back to Jo – so she doesn’t have to say goodbye so soon. A typical double lung transplant can be over $30,000 out of pocket in expenses.

     The expenses involved in a transplant are phenomenal.  She especially worries about having to relocate with her caregiver to Phoenix, AZ (where the transplant would be done) for a minimum of 6 months and the cost of living expenses, especially rent, that will be incurred.
