.In 2018, my life changed dramatically when I became seriously ill at work and struggled to breathe. After rushing to the ER, the doctors discovered my troponin levels were high and advised me to rest. But my symptoms persisted and a second ER visit led to a frightening series of tests.  I was terrified when the doctor placed a defibrillator at the foot of the bed.  It was then that I learned my kidneys were failing at an alarming rate.  The medical team considered a plasma exchange but further testing revealed I had ANCA Vasculitis a rare autoimmune.  I began treatment with prednisone and rituximab hoping to regain my health.  In 2019, I visited a cardiologist and learned that my aortic valve was leaking.  This led to open heart surgery in 2020 to replace the valve.  After a long and difficult rehabilitation, I was able to return to a sense of normalcy.  However life threw more challenges my way.  In 2021, I went through a divorce after ten years of marriage later that year.  I suffered a massive stroke The doctor told me that I had 10% chance to live and if they didn’t remove the clot. I would have been paralyzed except for my eyes.  Thankfully, the procedure was a successful and  I began the long road to recovery.  In 2025, I was put on dialysis and now I am in need of a kidney transplant.  By getting a transplant I will be enjoying my time with my grandson without getting too tired and seeing my son graduate from high school and be there for him as he goes through his journey of life.  And being able to attend family gatherings without worrying about leaving early to hook up to a machine.

I am raising funds to help cover the cost of my kidney transplant, travel to and from appointments in Memphis and Nashville, food , gas , medical expenses.
