Help Justin Continue His Fight for Healing and Recovery

Justin Sanchez is a 36-year-old husband, father of four young children, and deeply rooted member of his community whose life was suddenly and dramatically changed after suffering a cardiac arrest that resulted in a severe acquired brain injury.

Before his injury, Justin was known not only as a devoted family man, but also as someone who consistently showed up for others. He worked hard every day to provide for his wife and four children, while still making time to help anyone who needed him. He was active in his church community and a proud gymnastics and basketball dad, always present to support and encourage his children and their teammates. Justin also taught children through his church’s BCKids ministry—one of his greatest joys and his favorite part of the week. No matter how busy life became, he was always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and stand beside others in need. His faith in God and love for his family were central to the way he lived. He was the kind of person who made his community stronger simply by being part of it.

When Justin initially suffered his cardiac arrest, families, friends, church members, and members of the community surrounded us with extraordinary love and generosity. Their prayers, donations, meals, messages, and other acts of support helped carry our family through an unimaginable time. That early assistance made it possible for Justin to continue receiving critical therapies and rehabilitation as we adjusted to the long road ahead. We remain deeply grateful to every person who stood beside us, and we will never forget what that support made possible.

Today, Justin faces profound neurological challenges affecting his vision, memory, cognition, communication, balance, motor coordination, initiation, and ability to live independently. Each day is a journey of rehabilitation, medical care, and determined effort supported by his family and care team.

Despite everything, Justin’s spirit remains present. His family continues to see glimpses of the man they know and love—moments of awareness, connection, and responsiveness that remind them why they continue fighting for his recovery. Through every challenge, they lean on God, trusting in His strength, His timing, and the hope that He is not finished writing Justin’s story.

Justin and his family are now seeking to begin an intensive neuroregeneration and rehabilitation program designed to address the complex and interconnected effects of his brain injury. The program includes neurological assessment, targeted neurophysiotherapy, neuromodulation, photobiomodulation, and other emerging regenerative approaches, followed by a structured, home-based neuroplasticity rehabilitation phase.

The clinical approach focuses on the brain as a connected network, addressing motor, sensory, visual, cognitive, balance, and communication systems together. Progress in one area may support improvement in others—just as Justin’s life has always been interconnected with the people and community around him.

Our Goal: $40,000

The initial two-week treatment and home neuroregeneration program costs $33,500. Additional funds are needed to help cover travel, accommodations, ongoing rehabilitation, and the many essential expenses associated with long-term recovery care.

We are reaching out not only to organizations and businesses, but also to friends, neighbors, church members, community leaders, and everyone whose life has been touched by Justin or by the values he has always lived by.

We believe God often works through the hands and hearts of others. This is another opportunity for our community to come together in faith, compassion, and action.

Any contribution—large or small—can help open the door to therapies and care that are currently beyond the family’s reach. It is a meaningful way to stand beside a man who has always stood beside others.

This effort is about more than medical treatment. It is about giving a father of four young children the opportunity to continue fighting—to improve his communication, strengthen his connection with his children, regain movement and visual function, and participate more fully in the everyday life of his family and community.
