Hello! My name is Karl Decker, and I am reaching out to people about my fundraising opportunity. First, I would like to share my story and how I came to be in this unique situation. In 2005, I was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy (weak heart), with an Ejection Fraction of 12%. I was admitted into the hospital and placed under Heart Transplant review.

 My situation was due to a viral attack of my heart when I had Pneumonia and Bronchitis; with medications my Ejection Fraction went back up to 28% (most peoples ranges from 65-70%), for 18 years I had continued with that EF until last year when my EF is now back down to 12% and I am in the care of Mayo Clinic Heart Transplant Team. Medications are no longer working to sustain my life, so I need your help to enrich people’s lives like mine who need organ transplants; the fundraiser does that for both the donor and the recipient.

 Help HOPE Live! Is a non-profit organization that handles any and all medical bills, medications and medical needs of every patient in my community to concentrate on healing, purchase the anti-rejection medications, and allow the family and friends to help me through a long recovery process with no stress or concerns about “How are we going to take care of this” help HOPE live along with insurances and the Heart Transplant Team we can feel safe and cared for.

 As many of my friends and family know, my first love is my family; spending time with them is always my priority. I also love hanging out with our friends, going to breakfast or dinner. Lastly, I love playing golf, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with friends, and meeting new friends along the way. I find myself reaching out to everyone I love and know, as well as people who want to be part of this great program. Again, your help is needed and tax-deductible.
