At 41 years old, I’m learning what it looks like to hold both gratitude and uncertainty at the same time. After living with congenital heart disease my whole life, I’m now waiting for a heart and liver transplant.

The medical side is only part of the journey. The travel, missed work, recovery preparation, and everyday expenses that come with this season add up quickly.
