Family and friends of Laura Phillips are raising money through Help Hope Live to help support Laura and her family during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

Over the past several months, Laura has been battling serious and ongoing health complications that have completely changed daily life. What began as frightening symptoms slowly turned into a reality where even normal activities became difficult. The physical pain, exhaustion, weakness, medical uncertainty, and emotional stress have become overwhelming for both Laura and her family. Her biggest goal is getting enough money to cover these upcoming appointments, especially transportation to Phoenix, Arizona to see the top neurologist at the Mayo Clinic. Due to her, losing her ability to work she will not have insurance to cover these appointments anymore.

After trying everything possible to continue working and pushing through the symptoms, Laura was heartbreakingly forced to resign from her job due to her declining health. Losing her job also meant losing her health insurance at the exact moment she needs medical care, testing, treatments, medications, and specialist appointments the most.

Since losing Laura’s income, her husband has been working double and taking on as much as he possibly can just to try to keep the family afloat financially. Despite his hard work and sacrifices, the sudden loss of income and growing medical expenses have placed an enormous burden on the household. The family is now struggling not only with medical costs, but also with everyday necessities like bills, groceries, transportation, and providing food and stability for their children during this incredibly difficult time.

This fundraiser was created to help ease some of that burden so Laura can focus on healing instead of constantly worrying about how the family will survive financially while navigating this medical crisis.

Funds raised through Help Hope Live will go toward uninsured medical expenses, treatments, medications, transportation, household bills, and essential needs for the family during this transition.

Laura chose to fundraise with Help Hope Live because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
