Love Lee Chatman’s journey

On August 11, 2026, at just six years old, Love Chatman was diagnosed with lymphoid leukemia (CMS-HCC), specifically B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), just 30 days before her seventh birthday. What should have been a time of celebrating another year of childhood quickly became the beginning of an unexpected and challenging journey.

Since her diagnosis, Love’s life has changed dramatically. She is enduring the physical challenges of this illness, including immense pain, swelling, frequent hospital visits and stays, medications, surgeries and medical procedures, and chemotherapy treatments. Traveling out of town every week for the specialized care and chemotherapy she needs places an enormous burden on her and her family; not only financially, but also physically and emotionally.

This was a diagnosis no family ever expects, and certainly not one we would wish upon a child as precious as Love. Yet, even in the midst of uncertainty and hardship, we hold firmly to our faith and believe this is only the beginning of her beautiful testimony. We trust that God is walking beside us and will continue to give Love and her family the strength to face each day.

Love has a long road ahead, and we are asking for your help. Through Help Hope Live, we are raising funds to assist with uninsured medical expenses and other costs associated with this catastrophic illness. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease some of the financial burden and allow Love and her family to focus on what matters most: her care, comfort, and healing.

Love enjoys going to school and takes great pleasure in being a big sister to her two siblings. She has a sweet spirit and a beautiful heart, always showing patience, kindness, and politeness to those around her. Her warm smile has a way of brightening the day of everyone she meets. Even at such a young age, Love continues to show incredible courage and strength.
