     My story starts back in 2019 when I first needed surgery, I was born with marfans syndrome with a inlarge heart, so it wasn’t out the question if I’d even need heart surgery, I knew I’d have to get it, just never realized when.

Back in 2020 my mitral valve ripped open and was flapping a swelling the inside of my heart so I needed surgery soon,I got my surgery July of 2021 wishing the best for the coming years.

     Everything seemed ok until I got a bacteria in my blood stream in may 2025, I had to stay in the hospital 3months while being sent home with antibiotics and a picc line. After the bacteria it showed that it had nested and damaged my valve. So id be needing another surgery soon, I got my recent surgery January of 2026 placing a new valve inside my current valve hoping the best. After a couple visits and tests I was told it’s not working as it should be, and will be needing a transplant. Taking out the current valves would be a high risk surgery, so next big thing would be transplant.

     I’ve been in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant since April with my loving partner, she’s everything to me, so her being here is a huge weight off my chest and mind I’m grateful for her, but being in the hospital, being stuck on the same routine is definitely a mental battle that I’ve been fighting recently.
