Rebecca Davis

My name is Rebecca Davis. My story is one of transformation, courage, faith, and the decision to keep choosing life, even when life has asked more of me than most could imagine. After losing my husband, the love of my life, I still found the strength to keep moving forward and to be present for my Autistic son, whom I am a conservator for. Then last year I was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma (blood cancer, non Hodgkin’s B cell type) and told it was incurable, though could be placed in remission. Initially I pursued a holistic path, and when the cancer progressed to 3rd to 4th stage (tumors throughout my body) , I made the brave decision to do chemo therapy. I was told if I did not, it would spread to organs and kill me. Radiation and surgery were not an option and that could end my life the DR said. Today my tumors have significantly reduced and I am getting closer to remission But it is financially draining me, so I am raising funds because chemo is expensive and the cost of living increased, gas and all, without any pay increase, barely making over min wage. I am still working 6 days a week at 62, while doing chemo and paying out of pocket for my medical chemo bills. Healthcare for preconditions are astronomical, so affordable healthcare does not exist. I am not eligible for achhhs, Medicare or Medicaid. My hope is I go in remission soon, and I have chemo scheduled through June 27. Meanwhile, the medical bills are snowballing on me., up to $50,000 plus so far. Alot and most if not all of gov grants only cover rare diseases. I have checked and keep checking. This cancer is epic not rare, because of sprays and chemicals in our food. I would appreciate a donation of any amount, my goal is $50,000. I would love to be able to not have all my last of what I have go to collections. I have so much will to live and need to be there for my son, his dad died of cancer.
