Robert Clarich

Family and friends of Robert Clarich are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Robert has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

We are raising funds for Rob as our family faces an incredibly difficult season after a failed kidney transplant. While they were operating on him for the transplant, they found a large unidentified mass. He is 34 years old and has been fighting kidney disease since before he was even born. A congenital birth defect caused major kidney failure in the womb, and his kidneys have only ever functioned at a combined 30%. He is now at stage 5 kidney failure and has been on dialysis since 2020. He is not a smoker or a drinker, and he does not have diabetes. Just two weeks before this failed transplant, he suffered a fistula aneurysm and nearly lost his life. He is currently on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center national kidney transplant list and, as a type O patient, the wait and uncertainty have made this journey even harder. Since the failed transplant, there will be multiple surgeries, ongoing recovery time, and repeated trips to see specialists, each bringing more transportation, lodging, and meal expenses while taking even more time away from work. This ongoing medical crisis has placed a heavy strain on the whole family during a time when the focus should be on healing. Rob and Heaven have been married for 9 years and are raising 2 children who depend on them. Heaven will also have been out of work since his medical emergency and will be out for 5 weeks total, using up all saved PTO. The support from this fundraiser will help cover gas, food, hotel stays, bills, and childcare while Rob continues treatment and recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease some of the financial pressure and allow our family to concentrate on health and healing instead of how they will afford the next trip, bill, or day of missed work. Rob and his family are desperately asking for help and are extremely grateful for even the smallest donation.
