Ronaldo O’Neal Hinton

Hi I’m Ronaldo Hinton 47 Years old. I’ve lived an active life until a viral fatty liver infection, cirrhosis damaged my liver.

I’ve been trying to manage my health with medication and diet but my doctor says that I’m going to need a transplant. I’m approved to receive a liver transplant but there is a lot of doctors appointments and back and forward tests that has to be done.

I love fishing with family and friends. I enjoy being at the lake having fun. Since my liver cirrhosis I’ve been on a strict diet which is hard on my schedule. I miss out on a lot of social time. I also struggle with sleep, bloating stomach tightness that keeps me awake at night, so I spend most of my day tired. I also retain fluids at times, making me self conscious about my looks.

I’m fundraising for the cost of relocating closer to my transplant team as I will need to stay nearby for six weeks after my release from the hospital. I will also need to pay my co-pays and out of pocket expenses for the surgery that insurance doesn’t cover and I want to be able to cover the cost for a living donor if I can find one.

My team estimates this will cost about $9,000 and this amount could double or triple if I experience any setbacks or complications.
