Help Ruth Gain Independence with a Fully Accessible Van

Family and friends of Ruth Brandenburg are coming together to raise funds through the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help Ruth obtain a fully accessible wheelchair van.

Ruth lives with a genetic, progressive disease called lymphedema, which causes severe swelling, chronic pain, and increasing mobility challenges. In addition, Ruth is living with heart failure, a serious condition that causes fatigue, shortness of breath, and limits her physical endurance. Together, these medical conditions make safe and reliable transportation extremely difficult.

Because of her health needs, Ruth requires frequent medical appointments, treatments, and ongoing specialized care. Standard vehicles do not safely meet her mobility limitations, and traveling can place significant strain on her body. A fully accessible wheelchair van is not a luxury — it is medically necessary for her safety, health, and independence.

An accessible van would allow Ruth to attend essential doctor visits, receive life-sustaining care, and safely leave her home when needed. It would provide freedom, dignity, and greatly improve her quality of life while living with progressive medical conditions.

All donations will go toward funding a wheelchair-accessible vehicle through Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that assists individuals facing complex medical mobility challenges.
