A New Heart for Ministry: Supporting Sam’s Lifelong Journey

Dear Friends and Family,

Our 21-year-old son, Sam, recently received a life-saving heart transplant. We are incredibly grateful to God and his donor family for this miracle. Today, Sam is recovering well and focusing on his calling: studying to be a worship pastor at Boyce College in Louisville, KY.

While we are celebrating his healing, we are also planning for his long-term future.

A heart transplant requires lifelong medical care, including daily anti-rejection medications, biopsies, and specialist visits. Currently, Sam is covered by our family insurance. However, he will age out of this coverage when he turns 26. Because he is entering pastoral ministry—a field where comprehensive, high-level health insurance can be incredibly difficult to secure—he faces a steep financial hill to maintain his specialized care.
