Family and friends of saundra phillips are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. saundra has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.Let me introduce myself, my name is Saundra Phillips. i live central Texas, iwas7 when we moved me here after my daddy retired from USA Stationed in Mt.Home Air Base. Well march 2021 i contract covid19. reall bad thar the doctors said if they placed me through intabation my survival rate was 75% not waking up. My Faith is strong it took intubation. it lasted 14 days. Beverey and Brittney were my PT girls. i couldnt talk walk ear (iate trough a peg tube) i was basicallcy back to infancy. fast forward 3 weeks, i was moved to a regular room where i eventually was weened off the breathing tretment they removed the trache and finally was able to talk.

i was transferred to Hilcrest Hospital in Waco i was placed in Marine type PT, Man I hated it but i learened hoe to walk talk catch a ball walk walk up down stairs weights etc. I walked out of that hospital on my own,

fast forward to now my last follow-up my lungs looked clear with mild fibrotic cysts. now I.ve been diagnosed with Inierstitional Lung disease which is in my case terminal. without the procedure i get live maybe a yr 6 mo, if i do choose the transplants i get 5 to 10 years. my son died 3 year ago my only child, he left me to oversee his boys i feel the love altho he sees from above i see him everyday in each 0f his boys. i know times are hard . my donation cap is $9000 tax right oof, the HopeHelpive,org use what donations as a cushion for us so that they are in charge in paying our bills, residence change (we will by in Dallas for about 12 weeks if not longer, it also allows covering copays wound care PT OT and equipment to make it easy when i get home.
