Scott Gregory

Scott Gregory is a servant leader who has spent decades actively and selflessly serving others. While working full time and raising his family with his wife, Jennifer, Scott devoted more than 35 years to youth ministry, mentoring, encouraging, and showing up for young people. After retiring in 2023, he earned his certification as a counselor and began volunteering three days a week at a housing and addiction recovery center. He sees a need and steps in, quickly, generously and without hesitation.

Now, Scott and Jennifer need others to step in for them.

On July 12, 2026, Scott and Jennifer set out for a Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride in the Colorado mountains. Tragically, a mountain goat struck Scott’s motorcycle, resulting in a complete T4 spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed. After weeks of intensive medical care, Scott is now at Craig Hospital, working through both progress and setbacks as he continues his recovery and rehabilitation.

Scott and Jennifer face an immediate challenge: their home is not accessible, and Scott cannot return home until it is. So this is our first fundraising priority!

Contributions will initially help fund an accessibility lift, emergency exit ramp, bathroom modifications, and other essential renovations, along with a wheelchair-accessible van to transport Scott home and to appointments.

The needs will continue to evolve as he progresses through rehabilitation, and funds raised will help Scott and Jennifer navigate this new life with greater safety, mobility, and independence.

Scott has spent much of his life showing up for others. Now we have the opportunity to show up for Scott and Jennifer. Every contribution, prayer, and act of support brings him one step closer to the place he most wants to be: home.

Scott and Jennifer have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors.
